Vendor Week will take place at the Glendale Community College Main campus starting Feb. 9.
Vendor Week allows the opportunity for organizations along a spectrum of industries to visit GCC campus. A vending spot is provided to allow them to showcase themselves to you, the student and faculty, and provide information on their various services.
“Twenty vendors made it out during last fall’s vendor week,” GCC Office Coordinator Catherine Crawford states. According to Crawford, there are already seven confirmed vendors for February.
Among those expected to be on campus is Girl Scouts Troop #1394.
Other vendors include the Phoenix Suns, AZ Army National Guard, Nextcare Urgent Care, Freedom Tax Service and T-Mobile.
Leandra Huffer, Communications Coordinator with Girl Scouts – Arizona, has confirmed that Troop #1394 will have cookies on hand to sell. Girl Scouts, whose mission “Builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place” now has a history of over 100 years and prides itself in motivating girls.
Boxes of cookies will be on sale for $4.
McDowell Mountain Music Festival will also have a booth at the event. McDowell Mountain Music Festival is also expected to be on campus to provide information on this year’s festival March 11. This year’s MMMF will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital and UMOM, a company that offers shelter and support to people in need.
Vendor week benefits those who have heard about these groups in the past, but haven’t had the chance to learn more about them. Having them on campus allows the students and faculty to get information in between classes, upon arrival and departure. This is convenient for those who have a limited window between work and other responsibilities.
Vendor Week will take place Feb. 9 through Feb. 11 between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., located in the Student Union and the breezeway between the Student Union and CCS building. Additional Vendor Weeks will take place the first week of every month during the spring semester.
