Glendale Community College celebrated the Chinese New Year in the Student Union on Feb. 12.

WEBIMG_4020Students enjoyed a multitude of events from dancing, martial arts demos, music and a spread of traditional Chinese food.

The ceiling was adorned with red and gold paper lanterns. Seating was at maximum capacity, with people seated at tables which were draped with red tablecloths.

This is the year of the black snake. In Chinese culture, the snake is known as the “little dragon.”
